weeee finaly reached the 1k pageviews ^^ after quite a long time ^^

this one is Vazo, my mecha. Vazo means Vessel, he's from a group of mechas that I'm still coming up with, the Vessels.

(Actually the word mecha means mechanic, but along the years it's been used to describe huge armored "things". for example, EVA01 is a mecha, the gods from Magic Knights of Rayheart are mechas and many others, so yeah, I beleave this is in the right category cuz Vazo's origin isn't mechanic at all.)

Actually I'm still coming up with Vazo's design, the silhouette is set, details are the headache, mean, how to try and make him look like something that will at least not resemble a existing mecha, wich will be the most dificult part, mean, either people will say it looks like a Gundam or Nadesico of Super Robot Wars or a bright Diamon Weapon etc... yeah I know you were thinking these.

Actually I am a fan of Detonator Orgun (white mecha who comes to defend the Earth from it's own species and Yoji Shinkawa's designs (MGS' series and ZOE). In Other words, I'm not gonna change my mind like removing big sholders and long legs

as I said, the silhouette is set.

The inspiration is a crossover from Final fantasy's Dragon Bahamut, Orgun (main hero of an old anime), Jehuty (from Zone of the Enders), yet I tried to make it my own design... the actuall problem is that TODAY there are so many Giant Mechas that it's really pointless tryng to make a design that doesn't look like something that's already there, even if I tried...

So, yeah, I try to make it look my own mecha (try to make it look diferent than other stuff around), but similarities are inevitable...

Well hey I just gotta say again you did an exelent job as long as it's not taken directly from any seires (i.e. Zone of the enders Macross Gundam.) Than it is your own design. But I do get what your saying now adays there are a lot of Mechas around. I also like to draw Mecha tho I haven't made an original design in some time. but like you said my designs are inpired from Macross and Gundam. But hey still Really nice job.

Finally got to see Orgun, great show! Love the plot twist in ep 2. Plus the mech designs are absolutely beautiful in it.

Yer mech here is just gorgous. I love the design of it, quite original really. Beautiful man!
