When this came into mind I tryed checking out if there were already "metroid suits" on deviantart itself, well... there were. Disapointed? Yep. Surprised? No, I mean, comon, since Metroid III (Super Metroid) for SNes, fans I think enjoyed the idea of Samus making a kickass paring with her so known Metroid species (really, who can hate those things? they'se so cute). So I wasn't surprised there were Metroid designs made by fans here and there, well I'm glad with mine though, it's pretty diferent from the ones around, stays closer to the Suit's original design, and that was pretty much the idea. (cuz that dam Fusion suit is heck ugly).

I did try a lot more surrounding lighting in this one other than the rest of my gallery, it's actually the third one that uses surrounding lighting on the character.

Whoa, the lighting's really nice. I never really get how to do that effect with all the glowing parts, heheh. Interesting costume design and keep it up (^-^)!

and you are, without a doubt, the first person i've ever heard call a metroid cute. strange, very strange.

and yes, the fusion suit was hella ugly.

first person? but... but ... they're small... jelly, green transparent with those big red eyes (well not really eyes but...) and teeth... like a little bit scarier flubber... and they get so cold xD poor things

actually it does feel a little like cheating cuz I find rather easy to paint metal and skin other than cloth or any other (cuz it's got simple texture I guess... in my current understanding)...
(that's why my Christie's fanarts usually appeal to closes or showing more skin =P )
